Independent Study

The Independent Study Strategy, students meet with teacher once a week. In Home Study strategy, parent/guardian and student meet with teacher for approximately 1-1/2 hours, every two weeks.

If the student needs additional help as indicated by scoring lower than proficient on Star Tests, student may be requested to attend a weekly home study meeting or participate in tutoring. Gateway Unified School District Board policy indicates a student must meet with his/her teacher within a three week period.
